My ASP.NET website doesn’t display my Default.aspx by default?
This problem can be resolved in a very elegant way with the help of a .htacess file. The content of the .htaccess file should be:
Redirect 302 /index.html http://your-ASPNET-website.com/Default.aspx
If you want to change the index of your website in the future so it loads “Test.aspx” for example, you should just replace the “Default.aspx” string with “Test.aspx” in the .htaccess file like this:
Redirect 302 /index.html http://your-ASPNET-website.com/Test.aspx
You need to replace
your-ASPNET-website.com with the actual name of your website that runs on ASP.NET.
