How can I upload my website’s content and are there any restrictions?

Home » Knowledge Base » F.A.Q. » FTP & File Management » How can I upload my website’s content and are there any restrictions?

You can upload your website using your favorite FTP software or the File Manager inside your Hosting Control Panel.

To upload your files via the File Manager follow the steps below:

  1. Go to your Hosting Control Panel
  2. Navigate to the File Manager
  3. Open the directory in which you would like to upload your files
  4. Drag and drop your files or click on the Upload button and select the files from your device

When using the File Manager you would not be able to upload entire directories. If you would like to do that you will have to use an FTP client.

If you are using the free hosting plan be advised that you are also restricted to uploading the following file types:

.htacl, .htaclu, .avi, .mov, .mp2, .mp3, .mpeg, .ram, .asf, .quota, .vbs, .shs, .scr, .apk, .exe, .cmd, .torrent, .wmv, .wma, .rm, .zip, .rar, .gz, .tgz.
