.CO is the country code top-level domain for Columbia. The domain is created in 1991 and was first managed by Universidad de Los Andes. Since 2010 the .co domain is operated by .CO Internet S.A.S. is a subsidiary of Neustar. Since its creation, there have been more than 3 million .co domains registered.

 

Requirements for .co registration

Since 2010 the registration of the .co domains has been opened to everyone. The domain was intended as an alternative to the .com domain.
